Director of Private Pay - Farmington CT
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales Leadership
· Develop and execute quarterly business plans to achieve revenue targets and expand private-pay client base.
· Prospect, acquire, and manage high-value accounts across healthcare sectors (e.g., hospitals, assisted living facilities, community partners).
· Conduct client consultations as needed, deliver service presentations, and address objections to close sales.
· Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
· Collaborate with Marketing staff to align campaigns with growth objectives.
Operational & Financial Management
· Oversee Private Pay care center operations to ensure efficiency, compliance, and fiscal success.
· Participate in budget development and Monthly Operating Reviews (MORs).
· Ensure accurate billing and resolve discrepancies through data analysis.
· Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance service delivery and profitability.
Team Leadership & Compliance
· Lead private pay recruitment and training of office/field staff to maintain high-performance teams.
· Foster staff engagement and retention through leadership and development.
· Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and audit requirements.
· Partner with Operational and Clinical leaders to uphold service quality standards.
Stakeholder Relations
· Serve as the primary liaison for external partners.
· Collaborate with Intake and Case Management teams to streamline admissions.
· Represent the company as a subject-matter expert in private-pay home care.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Required:
o Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience in business/healthcare management).
o 5+ years in sales/business development and operations leadership (home care, hospice, or related field preferred).
o Proven track record of meeting revenue targets and managing P&L.
o Strong CRM proficiency (e.g., Salesforce) and analytical skills.
Physical Demands:
· Must remain in stationary position for long periods of time at desk or computer.
· Requires occasional standing, sitting, walking; using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reaching with hands and arms; climbing stairs; hearing; talking.
Work Environment:
· Office environment
· Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
The Director of Private Pay is responsible for driving revenue growth and operational excellence for the company’s private-pay non-skilled home care services. This role combines strategic business development with operational oversight to ensure financial success, client satisfaction, and compliance with company standards. The Director will lead sales initiatives, manage cross-functional teams, and optimize care center performance to expand market share in target territories throughout Connecticut.
